Standley Lake Regional Park - Colorado


Live Streaming from the City of Westminster Bald Eagle Nest Camera - Standley Lake Regional Park is a 2,321 acre park located in unincorporated Jefferson County. The main entrance is located at 100th Avenue and Simms Street. Standley Lake is a multi-use recreation and water-storage facility, and is the water supply for Westminster, Northglenn, and Thornton. It is used for recreation, drinking water and irrigation. Popular recreation activities at the lake include, water skiing, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, picnics, walking, running, cycling and wildlife viewing.

The water rights for Standley Lake Reservoir are owned by FRICO (Farmers Reservoir and Irrigation Company), the City of Westminster, Northglenn, and Thornton. Standley Lake has been used as a recreation area since 1970. There is an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA), which governs the water use and is managed by the Standley Lake Operations Committee (SLOC). The members of the SLOC committee are comprised of officials from the City of Westminster, the City of Northglenn, the City of Thornton, and FRICO.
